Why has it taken me nearly ten years to discover this delightful little collection? Yes the Owl may owe a little to Batman and a little more to the Spirit, but it's a winning combination. Nice artwork, and some very interesting villains...oh, if only there were more than these two compilations!

The artist was named Frank Thomas. He was quite good and had an interesting career. A few of us created an archive of all his works which includes an introduction by his still then living daughter on pg4 of each volume.
