Barry’s truck is hijacked by a robber who leaves his loot behind when he flees. Helen tells Barry she’ll turn the $20,000 in to the police, but changes her mind, tempted by the cash. Barry breaks up with her as a result. Helen eventually comes to understand that the money cannot make her happy; she will hand it over to the authorities and hope for a reconciliation with Barry. |

Bart falls in love with Jean. She uses her access to sabotage a new glassmaking process and Bart stands to lose his business as a result. Informed by her brother that it was Larry who defrauded Bart and not the other way around, Jean confesses to her scheme and gives Bart her savings to rescue the company. Bart forgives Jean and they reconcile. |

Lila’s father says it was he who insisted Ray become a partner. Ray and Lila are reunited. |
