It's a shame this comic isn't better-known. All the things that made Mort Drucker a fine caricaturist--lively characters, believable expressions, great posing, and simply terrific drawing--bring this western to life. He'll always be remembered for his humor work, but Drucker was also a top-notch realistic artist.

Drucker's style is literally cinematic. It's like watching a movie with a cast of Hollywood veterans. He was good at putting in little 'tells' that convince the eye it's seeing reality: little flaws in the physique, for instance, that most artists don't put in their work.
