This TV series was very well known and popular in Germany. But of the 206 episodes, produced between 1958 and 1964, only 61 came on German television in a dubbed German version. The purchasing policy of the German TV stations in the 1960s was very strange, from many U.S. Series were only bought a few episodes. It's nice now, to read a Kookie comic. :-) |

Please Note! Alex Toth on this title!
Look for the 'Maverick' Plug! |

Great to see this - two well told stories ably presented. Sunset Strip was one of my favourite TV shows in the early sixties (and Burke's Law) - I have both series on DVD and I'm embarrassed to say I once owned Kookie & Connie Stevens singing "Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb"

Some nicely effective Toth art, but really poor visual representations of the actual actors from the show. I’m guessing Toth never saw a single episode or even photos of how the three main characters looked in the series. Pretty distracting for fans of the show, but not such a bad read anyway. |
