She dates Les, a divorced police detective, and even though she thinks she may love Les, Lila turns him down when he proposes. Lila later learns his ex-wife had been unfaithful to him and was part of “a narcotics gang.” Lila apologizes to Les and they reconcile. |

However, Harvey says “men in my social position don’t marry waitresses! That’s what happens in fairy tales...” Lora decides to marry Hank instead. |

Ben finally asks for a divorce. Pam realizes she “couldn’t buy Ben!” and vows to change. Ben and Pam are reunited. |
