Betty arranges to have him “inherit” some money from a nonexistent rich relative, but Tom finds out and leaves. Betty decides to give her fortune away to charity in hopes of keeping Tom. Tom now knows she’s serious about him, and he says he’ll marry Betty even though she’s rich. |
