Great Art- interesting looking story! |
|
I agree, great looking art, a full bore, pre comics code story to boot. This doesn't seem to fit with 1958. Interesting that there seems to be no publication date on the inside front cover or anywhere that I can find, and no comics code authority seal, which with material like this, I wouldn't expect to have. I seem can't find an actual copyright notice; does rthe 'reproduction prohibited' line suffice? Anyone have any more info on publication date. |
|
Baldy, since IW-Super usually published unauthorized reprints, it's no wonder you can't find any copyright info. Get more info on the two issues published at Grand Comics Database. Cheers, Bowers |

Can anybody read the vertical signature under the spaceship on the left-hand side? Is that a signature? And I'm sorry, but the art doesn't look anything like Grey Morrow.
Cheers! |

I think it says "reissue" Cheers, Bowers |

Is this just a reprint of Planet Comics #70 (Spring 1953) with a different cover? |
|
I think bowers is correct -- the vertical "signature" is actually a badly-lettered REISSUE. The same appears on the cover of SPACE MYSTERIES #1.
DaveKStL, this does appear to be a complete reprint of PLANET COMICS #70 -- which was, in itself, a complete reprint of PLANET COMICS #41. In some ways, this reprint seems preferable to the scans of PC 41 & PC 70 (they appear to be exactly the same scan to my eyes) posted elsewhere here under Planet Comics. |
