Where are the indicia? What is the date of this book? This looks more like a Holyoke book than a Fox book.

Great storys like the Blue Beatle, how the flyer did not know that the guy who helped him was the blue beatle, but that's the comic book super hero bizz.

There's a good reason why the 30's and 40's are considered the golden age of comics. I love how whimsical the characters are, such as Neje, the woman who fights Nazi scum while wearing wooden shoes. Quite frankly, comics today aren't as fun as they used to be.

George Tukel goes from lifting Milton Caniff in "French Girl" to appropriating Will Eisner in "Case of the Empty Envelope." An equal opportunity swipist.

Additional Information

NameReal Hit Comics 1 | Published
PublicationPrice: 0.10 USD | Pages: 68
NotesNo indicia or copyright date. All ads and two short features from Blue Beetle #25 replaced with new ads. There are no indications on the item as to its publisher. We formerly listed this title under Fox, following Howard Keltner's Golden Age Comic Books Index, but GCD scholars agree it was much more likely produced by Holyoke right at about the time Holyoke lost the rights to the Blue Beetle to Fox. The notion that this was produced for use as a savings bond premium appears to originate with The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, and is also disputed by GCD experts.
