Whoever wrote this got the spirit of the show down pretty well, like a paperback adaptation I have that was written by Beverly Cleary. She definitely got into Beaver's head. My favorite thing in the book is the story (the book is a bunch of chapters, each of which is an episode worth) of Beav ordering an accordion on trial. He manages to lug it upstairs without anyone seeing, and imagines that he'll impress them into letting him keep it by coming down the stairs, playing it. Darn, I need to keep practicing my accordion. Melodies are fine, but the chord buttons are murder!
