Avon reprinted this entire book as Speedy Rabbit, adding only a one page b/w Speedy Rabbit story on ifc. Many Sparky Smith stories, and others from this title were reprinted in Avon's Peter Rabbit comics, with the same format of illustrated text stories on the loer third of the page. What is most impressive to me is the no-nonsense blatant ripoff of the well-known television puppet show of the day. At least they didn't name the character Dowdy Hoody! |
