Someone put a 1 rating on this comic, which is rare on this site. I had it when I was 8, and I thought it was pretty bad at the time. But reassessing it 60 years later, I have to defend it a little. OK, it is Charlton: The printing is awful, some of the art is pretty ugly, and there's that weird machine lettering. The scripts steal liberally from movies like Destination Tokyo, but they are technically competent. The Sam Glanzman art is quite good, and the story about the Soviet ship trying to break the underwater cable is pretty clever. I think a 6 is fair.

Totally agree. This comic is hardly dreadful, and I like the story you cite--it's well told and the art is more than adequate.

There is actually a Sam J Glantzman story in this book. That rates it as far as I'm concerned.
He did a number of stories for this title.
