I've been happily downloading comics from this wondrous site on & off for a couple of years now, but only just today noticed the 'Source: JVJ Archive' note. Please pass on my gratitude & warmest thanks to Mr Vadeboncoeur (and, of course, to all those worthy souls toiling over hot scanners night & day!). It's thanks to unselfish comic collectors like him & your stalwart team that these 4-color wonders can be shared around the world, providing entertainment & inspiration to new generations of readers & comic creators like myself. Um...and I'm pretty sure there was something about this particular comic I was going to comment on as well...hang on a minute! Lol

Oh yes - I particularly enjoy these old crime comics as I am a big fan of Film Noir & hard-boiled lingo - so I'm always delighted whenever I find some new slang expressions, such as "Why, the white-bellied fish!" (page 45, panel 6). Now I'll just have to go use Google to try to find out the precise origins of that rather peculiar synonym for 'stool-pigeon'. Cheers! :-)
