It could be argued that the story 'Escape to nowhere'
is the basic idea behind the 'planet of the apes' universe. Just add apes.

It's interesting! On the cover, Tarka is portrayed as a cross between Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers and John Carter, but inside, his Martian clothes are more like Adam Strange in the DC comics (although blue rather than red).
I agree with the Australian Panther that the one story is a lot like Planet of the Apes. Add some animals with anthropomorphic intelligence and coordination and you'd have either than or Jack Kirby's Kamandi. |

Interesting premise. Normally, when a comic book alien is banished from his home planet for a crime, he arrives on Earth to enslave it, not help it! |
