Arthur B. Lester of Chicago was taken prisoner in North Africa in 1942 by a German who took his wristwatch. Two years later, Arthur's brother captured the same German in Normandy and recovered the watch. Isabelle of France probably crowded more events within her brief lifespan than any other woman in history. At the age of two, she was engaged to marry John, Count of Alençon. Instead of marrying her fiancé, she married King Richard II of England when she was only seven. She became a widow at the age of 11 and married again at 16. Her second husband was Charles of Angoulême. She died in childbirth at the age of 20. Believe It or Not!
