Synopsis | Dickie and his friends are searching for oysters. Dan is caught by an octopus, but Dickie pulls it to the surface, stabs the creature and it releases Dan. Lily is pulled overboard but Dan saves her. Cranky Joe surfaces with a bucket of oysters, and in the final one they find an enormous black pearl. |

Synopsis | Fort Zinderneuf is about to be besieged by Arabs. Commandant Lejaune acts like a demon, propping up dead men on the ramparts and stringing up a mutineer. Beaten off once, when the Arabs attack again they climb nearby palm trees in order to shoot downwards over the ramparts. |
