Thanks for the scan.
Looks like the publisher was definitely keeping the genre options open with this one! " Spirit Of War" at least was a story featuring a ghost during war ! The apparent contradiction in content was not nearly as jarring or misleading as " Horrors Of Mystery" with the spooky cover image featuring crime story contents inside. Still fun reading.
Hopefully more issues of "The Horrors..." will surface. |

You'd expect a book with a title like this to be, well, horrific. But besides the first story it's all standard heroics. "It was a pleasure burning out those Japs!" And that sort of thing. |

Lovely work from Jay Disbrow in The Spirit of War, a stand-out story in an otherwise ordinary war mag. |
