SynopsisThis first episode of the series finds Marlowe taking a drink in a local bar, when a man enters asking about a woman, then suddenly the man is killed by another customer who gets away. The dead man turns out to be a blackmailer. Marlowe stumbles across the woman, the blackmailers victim, and attempts to find her property.
