I dislike most war comics but this one is OK. I even like the Jack Sparling pinup art.

One headache with the Princess Powderkeg story (and I own art from it) is that several strong images in the story are detailed Caniff swipes which tends to throw your eye off so if you are working on identifying the artist block out any panels that look inconsistent that may help and good luck as this one has stumped me and I would love to know the artist

A lot of the art on this book is probably Mel Keefer. He did a lot of ghosting for many strips and this strip was given a deliberate Caniff feel. His site here - http://melkeefer.com If you are at all interested in the golden age and want to see some great art, (and some information on Toby Press) download the PDF of an interview for Alter Ego in 2013. Cheers!
