Interior Johnny Danger art is by Jack Sparling. Panel cartoons are by Mell Lazarus (Miss Peach, Momma). The Jack Sparling art is a heckuva lot better than his 1960s art!

You're right, Superman--Sparling does a nice job of characterization with interesting supporting characters and pretty women. But he's starting to show the habits that spoil his later work, especially sloughing off important backgrounds and hastily inking everything except the main characters. This is a fun book even though the stories trot out every detective comic cliche. Ah, s-s-s-so!

Crashryan, I see little if any of the sloppy, rushed bad drawing of almost all of Sparling's 1960s comic book art. I LIKE Sparling's art on Johnny Danger here. I like it almost as much as I like Bob Powell art! Just today I'm comparing Jonny Double (also with art by Sparling) to Johnny Danger and Johnny Dynamite (Pete Morisi is one of my all-time favorite comic book artists as is Bob Powell) to post on the Facebook Retroactive Comics group. I invite you to friend me on Facebook if you're not rigidly intolerant re religion and politics and don't mind obsessive unPC ranting. (Most of my Facebook friends just IGNORE my unPC ranting.) I'm also in the Facebook Little Golden Books group, etc.

The 'additional information' here has nothing to do with this comic.

Thanks I have made an alteration and it will eventually "come out in the wash"

I believe that the man on the cover is a very young Dennis Hopper. IMDB has him starting his career in 1954, so it's possible.
