SynopsisLaurie’s parents are too busy to give her love and affection. Even though she doesn’t love fellow student Bill, she continues to date him because he has a close-knit family and she basks in that atmosphere. When nosy neighbors think Laurie and Bill are “misbehaving,” Laurie confesses that she’s been “using” Bill so she could enjoy his family—but then realizes she actually does love him after all. Bill chastises Laurie’s parents for their neglect, but everything is happily resolved and Bill and Laurie become engaged.
