SynopsisFrances is released from reform school after serving 4 years for theft. Her boyfriend Lou had asked her to steal, but denied everything when she was caught. Frances takes a factory job but cynically refuses to date anyone, until she meets new worker Johnny. She tries to resist but eventually they fall in love. Johnny steals the factory payroll to give her the luxuries she wants, but Frances confesses her past and browbeats him into returning the money. Johnny does so, realising Frances loves him and doesn’t want him to ruin his life. They vow to live their lives decently, and together.
