NotesDon Lawrence art on Davy Crockett. Published by L. Miller. The series ran for 50 issues from 1956 - 1960. Page 2 has a house ad for some other Miller titles of the time.

Don Lawrence's art, even at this early date, is really nice. Its quality makes even more obvious how painfully bad the lettering is throughout the book. A new catchphrase is born..."Holy cowskins! It'd Davy Crockett!" By the way, just what is a "magic nose flute"?
