SynopsisLorna's sweetheart Harry runs a drugstore. She enters a beauty contest with a prize of $10,000 or a Hollywood contract to help remodel his store. Lorna wins the contest but when Harry deprecates her acting talent, she decides to accept the contract. They break up. In Hollywood, Lorna learns the contest was a scam. Working as an extra, she gets noticed by actor Danton and becomes a star herself. Lorna and Danton get engaged, but when Lorna learns Harry is dying, she flies home to see him. Her presence saves Harry's life and she decides to quit acting and marry him.

She's a success but Doug is unhappy because the superficial lifestyle makes it impossible for him to paint. Ellen refuses to leave and they break up. He moves to the wilderness and regains his muse. When Doug comes to the city for a show, he says he's willing to move back if Ellen will marry him, but Ellen says "I've had my fling" and goes back with him to the country as his wife.
