Jan learns Mildred is not paralyzed and has been having an affair with Dr. Toomis. Mildred plans to marry Ted, then divorce him and receive a large cash settlement. When Jan informs him of the scheme, Ted pretends to be broke and Mildred admits she doesn’t love him and isn’t an invalid. |
