I read mostly SF and superhero comics and books, but I've read some Zane Grey, JT Edson and Max Brand and liked them. Never read Luke Short though - I'll read the comic and maybe get into the books.

This looks like John Prentice, particularly since one of the characters is a dead-ringer for 'Desmond' from Rip Kirby
