SynopsisBombo is given a tryout for a baseball team. He hits a ball out of the park--it lands in a shipment of war supplies being sent to the Pacific theatre of war. U.S. soldiers on an island discover the ball and play a game: a "home run" hits a Japanese sniper, saving the life of General Douglas MacArthur. Bombo, however, is cut from the team because that was his only hit.
