From this issue until the serial's conclusion (in #27, December 1937) the "Ivanhoe" artwork is obviously all by the same individual. In this and every subsequent issue the artist is identified as Raymond Perry. This seems to be a serious error. I'm convinced that the artist is in fact Alex Blum, best known later on for his numerous contributions to Classics Illustrated, when he was much more accomplished than he was here. |
