D Day was on 6 June 1944. Here we have a non-fiction text story (in 1943) examining the feasibility of 'The Coming Invasion of Europe.' Slipped by the military censors? Curious.

Then again, it's just common-sense. Obviously the Allies weren't going to win the war unless they eventually invaded continental Europe. We knew that and the Germans knew it. No big secret there. Civilians could speculate about it, and the Nazis could wonder and speculate, and just do their best to be prepared and try to prevent it. In hindsight, we look and see all these stories where the attack on Pearl Harbor was "predicted" in fiction -- which was no more or less than saying it was a vulnerability that many people could recognize as dangerous.
