One of the most outrageous covers I've seen (and the premise is repeated in the interior story with a close-up of the severed tongues!). The interior story also has implied nudity.
Too bad this comic suffers from a Charlton Curse (there were many of them) -- terrible color registration in the printing. |

Don't you just want to run out and mail your order for "The Complete Barbershop Joke Book"? For stag-minded males...humor sharp as a razor's edge! |
|
Golly gee! I had no idea Charlton had ever published anything so degrading! All of a sudden I have to re-think my opinion of them! |
|
This book looks like a Charlton Comic - and the creators are all Charlton Alumni, but is it?
It has no Charlton Logo on the cover and page #3 says,
'published by Capitol Stories, the editorial Office and Office of publication. Wait for it. The addesss given is
Charlton Bldg. Derby, Conn.
So was Charlton trying to start another company to outdo EC comics?
Can anybody throw some light oin this? |
