Synopsis | Hospital worker Diane agrees to care for the newborn baby of a dying WAC whose husband is missing in action. Wounded veteran Johnny falls in love with Diane and gets a job at the hospital to be near her, but suffers a relapse and is hospitalized. Diane thinks Johnny will leave her if he knows about the child, so she relinquishes it to an orphanage. However, it turns out Johnny is the father and he knew about Diane's kindness to his late wife. He thinks Diane "cold-bloodedly and heartlessly" gave the baby away, but when she comes back to claim it, Johnny decides to marry her. |

Hank says she's frightened to face life and orders her to leave. Nina realizes she does love David and wants to really begin to live her life. |

Synopsis | Nan sees a man across the street kill another man. She rushes to call the police, but runs into the man, George. He's friendly and Nan wonders if the victim was perhaps a criminal. Nan and George fall in love. When Nan sees George with another woman, she goes to the police. George says "up to the time you thought I was dropping you for that girl, you were perfectly willing to accept the love of someone you thought a murderer!" The "murder" was a rehearsal for a TV show and the "other woman" was helping him pick a ring for Nan. Nan is mortified but perhaps George will forgive her. |
