Synopsis | A great pianist, Bob Conrad, rents a cottage by the lake to sort out his life after his hands have been badly burned. Mary's dad owns the cottage and Mary helps Bob overcome his depression. In the process, she falls in love with Bob. When his hands have healed, she shows him he can play the piano again. Bob is excited and tells Mary his wife will be delirious with joy at the news. As Bob returns to his home, Mary is shocked and saddened since she had not known Bob was married. |
