WOW! An early 1943 comic book with a Bud Sagendorf comedy strip about a cowboy, drawn in the exact contemporary "Popeye" comic strip, and Dell Popeye comic book style. I guess he didn't have an exclusive contract with King Features. I'd have guessed that Sagendorf would have cost more than what Sangor's Studios production cost them, as the latter were basically "in house", being that Ben Sanger owned half of his son-in-law's comic book companies. I'm surprised Ned Pines were willing to pay an "outsider" when they had all those animators in house.
