| Notes | The “P. D.” signature is unknown per the P. D. entry in Jerry Bails' Who's Who in American Comic Books. Bails suggested comparing this work to that of Phil De Lara or animator Phil Duncan. De Lara has no known work for Pines [Nedor] during this time but did work for Sangor Studios in 1943 which did work for this company. De Lara is also known to sign work with the initials P. D. Under Duncan's Who's Who entry, Bails lists this P. D. credit as being Duncan (contradicting what the P. D. entry states), though Duncan has no other known comic book work and is not known to have worked for any comic studio doing work for Pines [Nedor]. Because of the uncertainty and it could be either creator. The J. D. signature has been confirmed as the Fox and the Crow artist Jim Davis. |
