I love cartoons of this vintage. Its a really painless way to learn about life in a different age. Leech clearly saw the ridiculousness of the fashion for women of wearing Crinolines and never ran out of ways to make fun of them. Can't imagine anyone today making fun of Women's fashions and getting away with it. If you had a mind which inclined you to be cheeky and rude you had to disguise it and be subtle about it. As a reader you had to do a lot of reading between the lines. great Stuff!
