NotesThe reprinted version has 5 additional panels not in the original: these appear at the bottom of the contents page and serve as a teaser for the story (which begins following a full page ad).
The story itself has been revised to conform to the Comics Code. On page 3 in the original, Susan's father hits her but this has been redrawn in the reprint to have him merely express his dissatisfaction. In the original he's wearing a "wife-beater" undershirt but this has been changed to an all-black, long-sleeved shirt in the reprint. Additionally, dialogue has been changed to remove some racial slurs. On the original page 4, Susan's father whips her with his belt: this panel has been completely re-drawn in the reprint, replaced with a verbal admonishment. Additional dialogue changes have been made on this page in the reprint as well.
