This series was published by French publisher, Mensuel, which seems to have leased the rights to reprint Italian publisher, Mondadori's previously Italian-produced "Pecos Bill" stories, or to have leased the rights to continue that series, using their own French writers and artists. My guess is the former, (that this French series reprints previously-issued Italian stories. It seems that Mondadori had an office of their own in Paris. I wonder if Mensuel was a partially or fully-owned subsidiary of Italian Mondadori?
