I didn't know Planet Stories lasted this long. The letters column is fascinating. Lots of argument about PS going mainstream, including a bitchy codger who has been reading s-f since 1893 and if these young punks want trimmed edges on their magazines they should go to a stationery store! Also noteworthy is that the January PS published Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder," which has become iconic. The story doesn't seem to have gone over well with the readers, though.
Artwise, newer artists like Emsh and Freas appear, again not without controversy. And of course there's a discussion of S*E*X in pulp magazines.
