Rex’s ex-girlfriend Phyllis is suspicious of Kay’s background and offers Bettine $1000 for the truth; Bettine demands a monthly payment from Kay or she’ll ruin her romance with Rex by revealing her humble origins. Kay confesses everything and Rex says he still loves her. |

Synopsis | Stenographer Judy bets her fellow employees she’ll get a date with woman-hater Paul, although she already has a boyfriend, Scott. Judy and Paul go out and are seen by Scott. Both Paul and Scott want Judy to commit to an exclusive relationship, but she stalls them. On another date with Paul, Judy discovers he is terribly jealous and possessive. He proposes marriage but she refuses. “If I can’t have you, no man will!” declares Paul and tries to strangle Judy, but Scott saves her. Paul, who for some reason isn’t charged with attempted murder, fires Scott and Judy. A year later, they are wed. |
