Interesting, though some of the "true" science is a bit suspicious. For the record, this is a half-sized comic (5" x 7-1/4") which I guess is how they could sell it for half-price.

Character seems to exist to solve problems using 'scientific' solutions. Odd then that the science isn't entirely accurate. Can only think that at the time the reference materials available weren't up to scratch.
Gallium is an element, not extracted from other metals. The plant is Yucca, not Yucco. Curious.

I love this series, even though the "science" is pretty outdated (and mostly wrong or impossible) I think the stories are all quaintly charming.

Captain Atom is one of those comic book heroes who wore briefs without tights (i.e., showing bare legs), which always seemed odd to me. Looked like he forgot to put his pants on when he left his house/secret hideout/laboratory that morning. Charlton's Nature Boy was another one. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples, maybe some famous ones I'm just not thinking of (like Batman's Robin).
