But Fury proves elusive, and Plume's father warns him that alone, he may be the target of white men, and if killed it could lead to a war. Sure enough, a couple of angry cowboys take shots at him, wounding him and scaring off his horse. But Fury arrives and shows Plume a hidden watering hole known only the the wild horses, saving his life. In return, Eagle Plume considers Fury his "brother" and gives up the hunt. |
