Pete Morisi at his best could give us something like the splash panel on 'Lawman' here. He obviously liked drawing faces and people but he often filled his panels with a lot of blank space. Interesting that that he is said to have deliberately copied George Tuska. Maybe he learned this from Tuska who also did this, particularly in his Marvel years.

I agree, Panther. Morisi did some very nice work on Lash LaRue. Funny, the real LaRue had a vaguely Bogart look to him; though Morisi did work to make his Lash look something like the original (for example using LaRue's unusually-shaped nose), much of the time Morisi's Lash resembles his John Garfield-inspired creation Johnny Dynamite.
