Interesting to read the original of Jack Williamson's "The Metal Man." The story as included in Ballantine's THE BEST OF JACK WILLIAMSON or Williamson's own collection THE PANDORA EFFECT is rewritten and updated from the 1928 original. For instance, the later version refers to the Atomic Energy Commission which did not exist in 1928.
