Is this not a DC book? Apart from the title being a DC title, It has an ad for 'Detective Comics 9' on the inside cover. |
There are a handful of very old DC (and Timely) books that were not renewed and thus fell to public domain.
The books in this "other titles" section fall into that niche. |
It should be noted this is a FICHE scan. If anyone out there owns this book please consider scanning it for posterity. |
Gotta say that it's remarkably clear for a fiche scan; a tip of the Hatlo hat to the scanner. |

Hi, how do you know for certain that the copyright wasn't renewed? I'm writing the Major's bio and I've been attempting to get a definitive answer to this for over 20 years. I've seen the info from the Library of Congress but the law is tricky isn't it? Donenfeld supposedly bought the titles after MWN was forced into bankruptcy. Even if DC didn't renew, don't they still own the titles? I appreciate any clarification or suggestions. Thanks so much. |
