Excellent Victor Canning Adaptation! This was filmed starring Trevor Howard, Anouk Aimée. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043594/?ref_=nv_sr_1 More please. Although there is a second copy of page 9 after page 5

The art is generally good and I like the story, but the script sucks all the life out of it. The writer had no visual sense...he cut and pasted huge section of narrative text instead of letting the pictures tell some of the story. Most pages would benefit from breaking the action into four or five panels...guess the publisher didn't want more than two on a page. Another problem with the heavy narration is that it calls attention to places where the art doesn't match the caption, like when the caption says "he turned his head" and the guy in the picture doesn't turn his head.

A decent yarn in an exotic setting – worth reading for the story – but too many ‘talking heads’ panels that fail to move the plot forward. If you think of it as an illustrated novel rather than a graphic novel, it’s fine.
