The most in-joke of in-joke books, but I guess Harvard had lots of wealthy alumni who might be expected to buy this. It's no surprise that author Samuel H. Ordway graduated from Harvard and Harvard Law School.

Absolutely, dwilt. Another in-joke is the name Codfish Cabot, as both brothers, Paul Codman Cabot, and Charles Codman Cabot, of Boston's royal 1st family, were either attending Harvard at the time this book was published or had recently departed the institution. Interesting also, is the importance of the codfish to the state. The "Sacred Cod" of Massachusetts is a 5 foot long wooden codfish that has hung in the House of Representatives in the State House since the 18th century, a symbol of the importance of the cod to the early economy of the region.
