This title was published in Auckland, New Zealand but I think the contents, or some of them, were originally from Gerald G. Swan comics. There was no Supreme Feature title from Swan as far as I know. It's the strips that have that Swan "look", particularly Tiger Darrell.
Standish Steele has that curious, peculiarly British, layout that is half balloon strip and half text strip.

I'm pretty sure this was all NZ created material by HW Bennett an Australian cartoonist but longtime NZ resident. He was very influenced by UK comics, once writing to a paper to praise them and decry lurid US comics. |

Interesting to read this – almost certainly the first NZ comic I have ever read!
Definitely has an early English feel to it with the art secondary but still not bad. Tiger Darrell was my favourite – but take a tip from me and never try to prop open a crocodile’s mouth with a bent stick (sorry, can’t shake off the habit of having once been a safety officer) |
