By the time this issue appeared on the newstands, both the TV series and its radio spinoff had ended their runs, but the the banner atop the logo continued to proclaim "Television's Top Program!" until issue #14 (January 1957). It's interesting that when the title first started, Chic Stone drew it in a more realistic style, reflecting the TV series, but by this issue, the art style had already started to morph into the "teen humor" style associated with Archie Comics. By the time the art chores were taken over by Jon D'Agostino, the style was firmly in that mold. D'Agostino would later go on to a decades-long career inking for Archie Comics, and after various stints in the '60s at Marvel and AGG, Chic Stone would also wind up doing a lot of work for Archie Comics. Despite the cancellation of the show, the greater part of MY LITTLE MARGIE's run as a comic book continued on for another 9 years (to issue #54) after the TV and radio show had ended, and even spawned two spinoffs, MY LITTLE MARGIE'S BOYFRIENDS (11 issues) and MY LITTLE MARGIE'S FASHIONS (5 issues) between 1955 and 1959. Not bad for a TV adaptation whose inspiration ended its run on the air before the comic book hit its 10th issue.
