Had to get this as Major Hoople was the only comic character I remember my grandfather ever mentioning. My dad was criticizing my reading comic books when my grandpa defended me by saying he read Major Hoople when he was young. BTW I am 62.

I have a similar story to Llaney. I am 55 and when I sent my Dad (who is 85) the 'Our Boarding House' panel that ran on the day Dad was born, it pleased him no end. That is the one comic strip my Dad remembers well and fondly. Got the panel from the Newspaper strips collection of OBH here, btw. Thanks all.
