So is Hobo Harper an ancestor of Hobo with a Shotgun?
   By
What a great book! The Splash Panel by 'Sam Decker' is Superb.[Lambiek credits Sam Decker as a pseudonym used by both Glantzman Brothers] The art on this Amazing Man story is reminiscent of Lou Fine. There are angles and anatomy that really is characteristic of Lou Fine and the art is much better than anything previously credited to Sam Decker on this title. If it is not Lou Fine maybe Sam was channelling him. Basil Wolverton! The Blue Lady. Changes from a Blue Dress to a blue play-suit ( in the street) - no mask or facial disguise - and says, 'Ill go in as the Blue Lady and they'll never suspect me!' And is she wearing a bluebird on her head? The whole story reads like a Monty Python piece. Hilarious! Then we have "The King of Darkness' Eat your heart out Batman. You are only the Dark Knight! And then we have NIGHTSHADE. [Was there even one original name in the Silver Age?] And what does this guy do? Scares the @&%$# out of people with real shadows. Interestingly, some of the basic ideas here had real potential, never realized. Thanks to the poster! cheers!
