Yikes! An especially gruesome cover. Flying teeth and gobbets of blood, and a woman's feet being burned off with molten metal while her back is being flayed with a cat o' nine tails and her hair pulled!

But it's okay 'cause the LWG will save the day with their -- erm, boomerangs...
   By
Molten metal, you say? How can you tell? It just looks like glue, plaster, or cement to me. (We've all heard of the slang "cement overshoes", but this is ridiculous.) I mean, where exactly do you buy those steel molds to stick someone's feet into, or do you need to submit a custom order to some metalwork shop?
   By
judging by the implements they are using to pour the stuff into the boots, it must be molten metal. Those are special tools for handling hot/molten metals. You can also see "steam" vapors coming up. The 1st boot alone would likely kill most people just from the shock.

I hate it when a comic makes me think Doc Wertham was right. How did he miss this one? It's horrible! "The Greatest Name in Comics" indeed.
